ICOM (ICTOP) Travel Grant for young ICOM members

to attend the 2019 ICOM triennial meeting (Kyoto, Japan)

In 2019 the organisation of travel grants will be centralized between the ICOM Secretariat (SAREC) and the Organising Committee of Kyoto 2019, who will also provide the funding for these grants.

In order to follow last year’s practice to leave the choice of one ICOM young member to International Committees (here ICTOP), SAREC suggested we need to submit ASAP one candidate and one optional replacement candidate suitable for ICTOP to SAREC. In other words, ICTOP will be able to sponsor one ICOM Young member of its choice (in accordance with SAREC, and Organising Committee of Kyoto 2019) to attend the ICOM General Conference in Kyoto, Japan. The grant (as expected) will cover return air-fare (economy), accommodation and conference fee.

If you are eligible and interested in this grant please send us your name, date of birth, institutional affiliation (if any), a short CV (300 words maximum), motivation to attend Kyoto meeting (300 words maximum), ICOM membership number and email address to the ICTOP fellowships committee: ICTOP Chair Darko Babic, dbabic(at)ffzg.hr & ICTOP Board member Kiersten Latham, kflatham(at)kent.edu

Although the young ICOM members under 35 years should be given priority, as instructed ICOM-SAREC is willing to accept candidates up to 40 years of age.

The deadline for applications: January 5th, 2019.

We are looking forward at meeting you in Kyoto.
