Before you book your flights, please note the following extras which are being planned for the participants:
In addition to the main conference (5-9 November in Auckland and Wellington, including transport from Auckland to Wellington and one night’s accommodation between Auckland and Wellington), we also propose the following additional options:
- An optional pre-conference study tour 1-3 November – price will depend on number of participants. This will be in the Bay of Islands, in the north of New Zealand’s North Island, departing and finishing in Auckland.
- Business meetings 4th November – arrangements are being made for ICR and ICTOP Boards to hold their business meetings in Auckland.
- Museum Training Showcase – 10th November in Wellington – an opportunity for international and New Zealand participants to demonstrate some of their training techniques and themes (separate modest fee, tbc)
- Museum Studies Research Day – 11th November in Wellington – an opportunity to hear about the fascinating graduate research into the field of museum and heritage studies from future leaders in museums (separate modest fee, tbc).
Potential participants from overseas should note that Auckland is the major international airport for long-haul flights.
Participants will be responsible for getting their own visas, if these are required.
